Hello! I'm Genesis Lowe, the self-taught baker and edible artist behind Twinkle & Sprinkles Bakery a home-based bakery in Oviedo, FL. I believe every celebration deserves a touch of magic and every sweet treat should be made with heart.
The Spark of Edible Art
My journey began in the kitchen, not as a career plan, but as a way to create joy. As the oldest of four, I took pride in baking birthday cakes for my younger siblings. In those moments, I discovered the pure delight of creating a magical moment from simple ingredients. This passion quickly merged with my love for painting and sculpting; I realized baking was simply a different, delicious form of edible art.
This path was unexpectedly reinforced early on through jobs at beloved spots like Cold Stone Creamery and Cinnabon at Universal Orlando Resort. Unintentionally, I was building professional skills and refining my techniques—all while still dreaming up custom creations in my home kitchen.
A Philosophy of Real Ingredients
My perspective on food fundamentally changed after being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. This led me to rigorously examine ingredients, realizing that even sweet treats can be better for you when they are homemade and use simple, real ingredients (like real sugar and butter) instead of highly processed alternatives.
At Twinkle and Sprinkles, every treat—from custom celebration cakes to popular creations like the viral Dubai bar—is baked with this simple philosophy in mind. I believe you don't have to sacrifice flavor or fun to choose quality ingredients.
